ARINC Managed Services Opens 3 North American Offices,
Will Pursue Mid-Level IT Users

June 2, 2010

Annapolis, Maryland—ARINC Managed Services (AMS), the world leader in IT and telecom support for major airports, today announced it will offer its industry-standard IT maintenance and support programs in other industries, focusing on mid-size companies with mission-critical IT systems. AMS also announced the opening of three new offices in New York City, Phoenix, AZ, and Toronto, Canada to reach regional concentrations of IT users.

“The number of mid-size companies who depend critically on their IT infrastructures for daily operation is growing rapidly,” stated Don Brien, AMS Director. “These companies need the help-desk coverage, guaranteed response times, and logistics support a national IT service provider can bring—but too often they settle for a less capable local vendor due to cost. ARINC Managed Services can address this market immediately, with a portfolio of reasonably priced IT support services and custom-tailored agreements.”

AMS experience includes the most demanding service environment—airports—where the company has achieved 99.999 performance levels. The ability to offer on-site, depot, or on-call service enables AMS to meet a wide variety of customer requirements.

“When it comes to outsourcing IT, one size does not fit all,” Brien adds. “AMS offers a full suite of services that can be customized to solve any IT support needs and fit today’s budgets, whether on a time-and-materials or a fixed-cost model, or anything in between.”

The AMS service desk model is designed with ITIL standards and enables fast incident response and escalation. Customers receive the benefits of automatic dispatching, trouble-ticketing, tracking, escalation, and monthly reporting without the costs of a self-owned model. The ARINC model also facilitates management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), preventative maintenance, inventory tracking, and device-level monitoring—a global, 24×7, single resource for IT support.

In addition to the standard services of a Managed Services Provider, AMS also offers its customers several related capabilities. These include Systems Consulting, with Technical Operations Project Support (TOPS) team specialists who are highly trained in project work, site startup, development, and training. The company also offers professional Project Management and Network Engineering services. Its Staffing and Staff Augmentation services take advantage of the AMS skills-based recruiting network to provide scalable resources on demand for break/fix work, help-desk support, software development, database administration, and more.

AMS managers and technicians have among the highest levels of training and experience in the industry, with credentials and advanced certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
